Alabama Track and Field Grabs Three First-Place Finishes Concluding Day Two of the Bulldog Relays

The Crimson Tide will compete in nine different events on Saturday to close the weekend meet
STARKVILLE, Miss. – Alabama track and field swept the women's 3,000-meter on the second day of the Bulldog Relays, along with first-place finishes in the women's discus throw and women's pole vault.
The women's 3,000-meter trio of Crawford West (first | 9:57.37), Leah Kleekamp (second | 10:01.55) and Kaylie Crews (third | 10:05.28) swept the women's 3000-meter. Kerri Walsh added an eighth-place finish after clocking a 10:37.74.
Amani Heaven added a first-place finish in the women's discus throw after launching a 49.92-meter (163-9) throw.
Day two was capped with five top-10 finishes in the women's pole vault, headlined by a first-place finish from Victoria Faber (4.02m | 13-2.25).
On the final day of the Bulldog Relays, Makenna Uranga will get the Tide rolling in the women's javelin throw at 11 a.m. CT.
CRIMSON TIDE TOP FINISHES
- Tommy Danner finished sixth in the men's hammer throw with a 48.29-meter (158-5) throw
- Danner's mark is a new PB
- Amani Heaven took home a first-place finish in the women's discus throw with a 49.92-meter (163-9) mark
- The Tide had five top-10 finishes in the women's pole vault including a first-place finish from Victoria Faber (4.02m | 13-2.25)
- Holly Foley finished fourth (3.72m | 12-2.5), Alexis Rickenbacher and Tristan Barr finished tied for seventh (3.72m | 12-2.5), as Riley White finished ninth (3.57m | 11-8.5)
- DeMarco Lemons (third | 49.97m | 163-11) and Barry Evans (fifth | 48.24m | 158-3) added a pair of top-five finishes in the men's discus throw
- The squad of Kate Dickman, Keaton Morrison, Campbell Petersen and Macy Schelp returned a second-place finish (8:55.16) in the women's 4x800-meter relay
- Cami Crouch, McKenzie Hogue, Sarah Tillotson and Lilly Walters collected a third-place finish in the women's 4x800-meter relay with a time of 9:01.38
- The trio of Crawford West (first | 9:57.37), Leah Kleekamp (second | 10:01.55) and Kaylie Crews (10:05.28) swept the women's 3000-meter run
- Kerri Walsh added an eighth-place finish after clocking a 10:37.74
