The Crimson Tide practiced for roughly 90 minutes before taking part in a six-inning intrasquad scrimmage
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama baseball officially began its fall season with the Crimson Tide's first full-team practice on Friday afternoon at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. The day kicked off at 2:30 p.m. CT with the Tide focusing on fundamentals for 90 minutes before the team squared off in a six-inning intrasquad scrimmage.
"Our kids brought a lot of energy and intensity on the first day," said head coach Brad Bohannon. "Things weren't crisp – and that's to be expected on day one – but overall, we made a lot of progress. I'm really excited to get back out there tomorrow and continue to work on getting better."
Alabama is scheduled to return to the diamond on Saturday morning at The Joe before taking Sunday off. The Crimson Tide will begin tomorrow's activities at 8:30 a.m. CT with first pitch of the scrimmage set for 9:45 a.m.
Admission to Alabama baseball's on-field activity is free to the public. Fans are asked to enter Sewell-Thomas Stadium through the main gate (Gate 3) located directly behind home plate. Once inside, fans are to stay in the lower bowl seating area with access to the upper levels of the stadium strictly prohibited.
