Fall World Series Set to Close Out Baseball’s Autumn Schedule

Tide to take part in a three-day continuous game starting on Tuesday afternoon
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama baseball's fall slate is coming to a close, as the Crimson Tide will take part in its annual Fall World Series this week. The team's intrasquad will be a three-day, continuous game with the score carrying over across the week.
Alabama's sixth week of the fall schedule was highlighted by a pair of seven-inning exhibition matchups in Tallahassee against the Florida State Seminoles. Game one on Friday favored the Crimson Tide with the nightcap going to FSU. Following the trip to Florida, the Tide returned home to take part in its Fall World Series Draft on Sunday evening to divide out the squads.
The Series will begin on Tuesday with a 2:45 p.m. CT first pitch followed by a 2 p.m. start on Wednesday. Alabama will then take Thursday off before returning to the diamond on Friday for the final day of the FWS, slated to begin at 4 p.m. The three-day event will feature a continuous scoring system with Tuesday and Wednesday's scores being combined for the start of Friday, providing either team with the chance to secure the series in the final matchup.
All three dates for the Fall World Series are subject to change. The length will be determined on a game-to-game basis. Admission to Alabama baseball's FWS is free to the public. Fans are asked to enter Sewell-Thomas Stadium through the main gate (Gate 3) located directly behind home plate. Once inside, fans are to stay in the lower bowl seating area with access to the upper levels of the stadium strictly prohibited.
