Tide to close out the exhibition slate with 3 p.m. CT matchup against Florida State
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Week six of the fall for Alabama baseball is highlighted by an exhibition at Florida State, along with one practice-scrimmage split in Tuscaloosa.
Alabama's fifth week of the fall wrapped up on Sunday afternoon in Knoxville. The Crimson Tide squared off with SEC foe Tennessee in the first of the team's two exhibitions. The bats came alive while the young arms fared well against the Vols, helping UA to a pair of wins in an 11-inning traditional matchup and a seven-inning situational scrimmage.
The Crimson Tide begins the new week with a practice-scrimmage split in Tuscaloosa on Wednesday. The day will start at 1:30 p.m. CT for practice followed by a 2:30 p.m. first pitch for the intrasquad. Alabama will then use Thursday to travel to Tallahassee before taking on the Seminoles at 3 p.m. CT on Friday afternoon at Dick Howser Stadium. The exhibition with Florida State will wrap up travel for Alabama before the team takes part in its annual Fall World Series next weekend to close out the fall slate.
All scrimmages are subject to change. The length will be determined on a game-to-game basis. Spaced out between scrimmages are the team's regularly scheduled practice sessions. Dates and times of all practices and scrimmages for the upcoming week can be found on RollTide.com each Monday.
Admission to Alabama baseball's on-field activity is free to the public. Fans are asked to enter Sewell-Thomas Stadium through the main gate (Gate 3) located directly behind home plate. Once inside, fans are to stay in the lower bowl seating area with access to the upper levels of the stadium strictly prohibited.
