The Crimson Tide will travel to Knoxville for a 9:30 a.m. CT scrimmage on Saturday
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama baseball travels to Knoxville this weekend for a fall exhibition contest against SEC rival Tennessee, part of the Crimson Tide's week-five fall schedule.
The fourth week of the fall wrapped up on Saturday with the Crimson Tide signing autographs on The Quad prior to Alabama football's Homecoming matchup with Missouri. Week five of fall practice begins on Tuesday and will run through Saturday's exhibition with the Volunteers.
The two SEC foes will meet at Lindsey Nelson Stadium on Saturday morning with first pitch scheduled for 9:30 a.m. CT. Alabama and Tennessee do not meet during the 2019 regular season. The fall exhibition is the first of two for UA, with the team heading to Tallahassee next week to square off with Florida State on Friday, Oct. 26.
Admission to the exhibition between the Tide and Vols is free to the public. Due to Saturday's football game, parking for all lots surrounding Neyland Stadium and most other lots on campus is reserved to pass holders only. Limited $25 public parking is available on-campus at the UT Visitor's Center, Old Sports Bubble on Andy Holt Avenue and Lot S12 on Lake Avenue.
Prior to the trip to Knoxville, Alabama will take part in practice-scrimmage splits on both Tuesday and Thursday with a full practice session on Friday prior to the trip to Tennessee. Both Tuesday and Thursday's split sessions will begin practice at 1:45 p.m. followed by a 3 p.m. first pitch in the scrimmage. Friday's practice is set for a 1 p.m. start before the Tide departs Tuscaloosa.
All scrimmages are subject to change. The length will be determined on a game-to-game basis. Spaced out between scrimmages are the team's regularly scheduled practice sessions. Dates and times of all practices and scrimmages for the upcoming week can be found on RollTide.com each Monday.
Admission to Alabama baseball's on-field activity is free to the public. Fans are asked to enter Sewell-Thomas Stadium through the main gate (Gate 3) located directly behind home plate. Once inside, fans are to stay in the lower bowl seating area with access to the upper levels of the stadium strictly prohibited.
