Daniil Proskura Wins in Singles at Napa Valley Classic

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama's Daniil Proskura posted the lone win on the day for the Crimson Tide men's tennis team, beating 78th-ranked Junior Ore of Texas A&M, 6-2, 6-7(5), 7-5, on the first day of play at the Napa Valley Classic in Napa, Calif.
Proskura is joined at the tournament by Andrew Goodwin, Becker O'Shaughnessey and Nikko Madregallejo. All four will be back in action on Saturday in the round robin tournament.
Alabama's Hayes Brewer, Saxon Buehning, Sean Donohue and Stuart Kenyon were also active on Friday, competing at the SEC Fall Classic in Nashville, Tenn. The Tide wrapped up play after losses in doubles and singles consolation.
