Jordan Pingel arrived to Tuscaloosa in the summer of 2023, serving as an assistant coach, primarily assisting with the men's distance/cross country runners.
Pingel's Time at Alabama
- In his first track and field season on UA staff, Pingel helped lead Victor Kiprop to his third-straight 10,000-meter title at the SEC Outdoor Championships before he also earned first team All-America honors in the 10,000m at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
- During the 2023 cross country season, Pingel helped guide the Crimson Tide to a second-place finish at the SEC Championships where Kiprop defended his individual title, as well as his Men's Runner of the Year conference honor. Later in the postseason, Pingel would watch Hillary Cheruiyot claim the South Region title at the NCAA South Regional Championships before both Kiprop and Cheruiyot qualified, individually, for the NCAA Championships.
Prior to Alabama
- Assistant coach at California Baptist (2021-23)
- In 2022, Pingel was a part of four team victories, highlighted by a perfect sweep at the Western Atlantic Conference
- Helped lead the Lancers to a program-first West Regional (men and women's programs) and National Championships (women's program) appearance in the team's first year as a Division I program
- In his first season with CBU (2021), Pingel guided the men's program to a WAC title with a perfect 15-point score, while the women's program finished as the runner-up
- Volunteer Assistant Coach at Texas A&M (2020-21)
- Graduate Assistant Coach at Dubuque (2018-20)
- Worked with multiple event groups, including cross country, horizontal jumps and distance events
- Student-athlete at Northern Iowa (2014-18)
- Two-time all-conference (Missouri Valley) 800-meter runner
