The redshirt freshman tallied four saves in net to limit No. 3 Duke to just one goal and aid Alabama in a 1-1 draw on the road
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –– After an impressive showing on the road against the No. 3 team in the country, Alabama's Madi Munguia was named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
Munguia aided the Crimson Tide in a 1-1 draw against No. 3 Duke on Sunday, marking the Blue Devils' first tie of the season. Additionally, with the help of Munguia's efforts in goal, UA held Duke to one of its lowest offensive performances this year.
