
Alabama Track & Field Produces More than a Dozen Top-10 Finishes Saturday at Tom Jones Invite

Kieran McKeag and Christian Edwards led the Crimson Tide with silver medal finishes among collegians
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Alabama track and field team posted more than a dozen top-10 finishes on the final day of the Tom Jones Invitational on the University of Florida campus.
Kieran McKeag led the way for the Crimson Tide posting a toss of 67.94 meters to take second in the men's hammer throw. Christian Edwards took third overall and second among collegians in the men's triple jump with a leap of 15.99 meters.
More Crimson Tide Highlights from Saturday
- Jerimiah Evans (17.98 meters), Nathan Cooper (17.05 meters) and Alan de Falchi (16.53 meters) took fifth, ninth and 10th in the men's shot put
- Leander Forbes, Corde Long, Gabe Serrano and Khaleb McRae combined to run a 3:03.60 to take fifth among collegians in the men's 4x400-meter relay, which ranks sixth all-time at Alabama
- Christal Mosley, Amari Brown, Amara Obi and Chanice Spicer ran a 3:34.16 to finish fifth in the women's 4x400-meter relay
- Kassidy Gallagher (60.66 meters) and Samantha Kunza (60.31 meters) took sixth and eighth, respectively, in the women's hammer throw
- Gallagher's throw of 60.66 meters ranks her sixth all-time for the Tide
- Khaleb McRae ran a 45.85 to finish sixth in the men's 400 meters
- Nickolette Dunbar finished seventh in the women's shot put with a toss of 15.78 meters
- Milani Fields, Brown, Ayla Stanisclaus and Obi ran a 43.86 to take seventh in the women's 4x100-meter relay
- Josh Thomas, Jonathan Martin, Mason Phillips and Jekovan Rhetta combined to run a 40.11, taking ninth among collegians in the men's 4x100-meter relay
