WEATHER PLAYS A ROLE
- Much of the morning was played under overcast skies and periods of rain, some of which came down heavy
- The rain finally subsided late in the morning and made way for partly cloudy skies, which made for warmer and humid temperatures in the afternoon
FUN FACT
- A reason why Abney led the way for the Tide on the day was his performance on par 5 holes throughout the day. The Madison, Miss., native led the entire field in par 5 scoring average, finishing with a 4.25 average (-3).
The tournament's third and final round will tee off Tuesday morning and is free to the public. Alabama will be paired alongside Ole Miss and Charlotte and will tee off on Hole No. 10 at 8:50 a.m. CT.
