Six Crimson Tide Alumni Qualify for World Championships with Team USA

The group will be competing across six different events while at the international meet
INDIANAPOLIS – Six former Alabama track and field student-athletes have punched their ticket to the World Athletics Championships, held Sept. 13-21 in Tokyo, as members of Team USA.
Quanesha Burks (women's long jump), Tamara Clark (women's relay pool), Daniel Haugh (men's hammer throw), Shelby McEwen (men's high jump), Khaleb McRae (men's 400m) and Chris Robinson (men's 400m hurdles) will make up the Crimson Tide contingent for the red, white and blue.
Crimson Tide Contingent
- Burks – women's long jump
- Competed at Alabama from 2014-17
- Ten-time All-American, two-time NCAA champion and four-time Southeastern Conference champion, spanning across long jump, sprints and relay events
- Clark – women's relay pool
- Competed at The Capstone from 2018-21
- Nine-time All-American, four-time SEC champion and 2021 national runner-up, spanning across various indoor and outdoor sprints and relays events
- Haugh – men's hammer throw
- Competed at UA from 2015-18
- Two-time SEC champion and 2016 SEC Co-Freshman Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year who still holds the UA record in the hammer throw (73.50m | 241-2)
- McEwen – men's high jump
- Competed at Alabama from 2018-19
- Four-time All-American, 2019 indoor NCAA champion and 2018 SEC indoor/outdoor champion who won silver at the 2024 Paris Olympics
- McRae – men's 400m
- Competed for the Crimson Tide from 2022-24
- Three-time All-American and three-time SEC medalist, spanning across the 400m and 400-meter relay events
- Robinson – men's 400m hurdles
- Competed at UA during the 2023 and 2024 seasons
- Eight-time All-American, 2023 NCAA champion (400m hurdles) and five-time SEC medalist, spanning across the 400m hurdles and the 400-meter relay events
