Alabama Falls to No. 1 Georgia in 4-0 Decision

The Crimson Tide will return to the Alabama Tennis Stadium on Sunday, March 30, to host South Carolina
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's tennis team (9-9, 3-7 SEC) dropped a 4-0 decision to No. 1 Georgia (17-1, 10-0 SEC) on Friday evening.
Match Notes
- The Bulldogs captured a quick start, jumping out to a 1-0 lead with doubles wins on courts two and three, respectively
- Alabama's doubles duo of Petra Sedlackova and Maria Martinez Vaquero battled against UGA's No. 10 pairing of Dasha Vidmanova and Mell Reasco for a 3-3, unfinished score on court one
- Georgia would go on to secure the team win with singles victories on courts one, two and six
- The Crimson Tide saw first-set wins on courts three, four and five, but all three matches would remain unfinished as the Bulldogs captured the deciding point on court six
