The sophomore earns his first SEC Player of the Week honor this season
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama men's basketball guard Labaron Philon Jr. has been named the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday morning.
The weekly accolade comes after Philon Jr. led Alabama to a pair of victories, including a win over No. 5/6 St. John's on the road at Madison Square Garden. This is the first SEC Player of the Week honor for the sophomore, as the native of Mobile, Ala. was named SEC Freshman of the Week three times last season.

- Scored a career-high 25 points on the road at No. 5/6 St. John's
