Former Alabama players make an impact in Week 6 of the NFL season
Quarterback Bryce Young helped the Carolina Panthers to an impressive 30-27 win over the Dallas Cowboys, as he completed 17-of-25 passes for 199 yards and three touchdowns. Young orchestrated a 15-play, 71-yard drive over the game's final six-plus minutes to set up the game-winning field goal as time expired.
Running back Josh Jacobs did it all for the Green Bay Packers, accumulating 93 rushing yards on 18 carries with two touchdowns while adding five receptions for 57 yards in a 27-18 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. Baltimore Ravens' running back Derrick Henry returned to form on Sunday, rushing 24 times for 122 yards while also adding an eight-yard reception.
Wideouts Jameson Williams and Jaylen Waddle each displayed their play-making abilities on Sunday. Williams totaled six catches for 66 yards and a touchdown for the Detroit Lions in prime time, while Waddle paced the Miami Dolphins' receiving corps with six receptions for 95 yards.
A trio of former Alabama linebackers stood out over the weekend, highlighted by Mack Wilson Sr. of the Arizona Cardinals. The seventh-year veteran recorded nine tackles, including one for loss, to go with one interception and a pass breakup against the Indianapolis Colts. Chris Braswell helped lift the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a 30-19 home win over the San Francisco 49ers with five total tackles as the Bucs improved to a division-leading 5-1 record. Jihaad Campbell continued to build on his impressive campaign in Philadelphia, as the Eagles' rookie posted seven total stops against the New York Giants on Thursday night.
Los Angeles Chargers' defensive tackle Justin Eboigbe managed six total stops in a thrilling 29-27 victory over Miami, while Dolphins' safety Minkah Fitzpatrick produced five tackles and two pass breakups on the opposing side.
