
Olemomoi, Orogot, Robinson Set NCAA-Leading Times to Open Bryan Clay and Tom Jones Memorial Invitational

Olemomoi’s first-place time of 15:06.42, Orogot’s first-place time of 19.90 and Robinson’s first-place time of 47.95 is the fastest time in the NCAA this season in their respective events
GAINESVILLE, Fl. – Alabama track and field's Tarsis Orogot highlighted the opening day of the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational, clocking the NCAA-leading time in the men's 200-meter dash via a personal-best 19.90 sprint. The junior's time is the 13th-fastest in collegiate history, a Ugandan national record, an East African record, and the school record.
In addition to Orogot's thrilling performance, Senior Chris Robinson grabbed a first-place finish in the men's 400m hurdles with a personal-best 47.95, clocking the fastest time in the nation this season, as well as improving his sixth-fastest collegiate record and school record.
On the west coast at the Bryan Clay Invitational, Hilda Olemomoi stole the spotlight in the women's 5,000-meter after she recorded the second-fastest time in collegiate history, the NCAA-leading time, and the program record with a personal-best 15:06.42.

- In the women's 200-meter dash, Ariike Elijah finished fifth with a 23.93
- Tarsis Orogot ran a personal-best 19.90 in the men's 200-meter invite to claim first
- His time is an NCAA-leading time, improves his school record, the 13th fastest time in collegiate history, the Ugandan national record and the East African record
- Chris Robinson claimed first with a personal-best 47.95 in the men's 400-meter hurdles invite

- Khristian Watson finished fifth in the men's high jump with a 2.09-meter (6-10.25) jump
- In the men's pole vault, Cross Derriso claimed seventh with a personal-best 4.98-meter (16-4) mark
- Louis Martinez finished eighth in the men's pole vault invite with a 5.15-meter (16-10.75) jump
- Caelyn Harris (first | 6.26m | 20-6.50) and Miracle Ailes (sixth | 6.13m | 20-1.50) returned a pair of top-10 finishes in the women's long jump
- Amani Heaven claimed ninth in the women's shot put invite with a 16.41-meter (53-10.25) throw

- Brenda Tuwei finished sixth in the women's 10,000-meter invite with a personal-best 33:00.66
- Jacob Harris collected a first-place finish in the men's 10,000-meter open with a personal-best 29:26.15
- That time is the sixth-fastest in school history
- Brandon Passmann took fifth in the men's 5,000-meter open B, clocking a new personal-best 14:08.54
