Sedlackova makes first appearance in the singles main draw finals after making her third-consecutive appearance of her career in the event’s semifinals
Baton Rouge, La. –– The Alabama women's tennis team continued play in the ITA Southern Regional Championships on Monday, highlighted by Petra Sedlackova's straight-set win to advance to the finals of the singles main draw for the first time of her career.
Sedlackova dominated in the singles semifinals match against LSU's No. 117 Aran Teixido-Garcia (6-2. 6-0) after starting the match off strong with a 3-0 lead in the first set. Monday's win marked the furthest Sedlackova has ever made it in an ITA Regional.
Margaux Maquet and Sedlackova battled in the doubles main draw semifinals against LSU's Anita Sahdiiea and Kinaa Graham but fell short, 6-2, 6-1.
