Alabama Track and Field Represented by Seven at IAAF World Championships

Seven Crimson Tide athletes representing four different countries in Qatar beginning on Sept. 27
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Seven current and former members of the Alabama track and field program are listed among the final entries for the 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar, Sept. 26-Oct. 10.
The IAAF World Athletics Championships Doha 2019 gets underway at Khalifa International Stadium Friday, Sept. 27 and will run until Sunday, Oct. 6, with more than 1,900 athletes from 210 countries competing. The international event will see one current and six former Crimson Tide athletes represent four different countries in their respective events.
Senior Shelby McEwen and Daniel Haugh will represent USA, while Mauricia Prieto, Jereem Richards and Portious Warren will compete for Trinidad and Tobago. Kirani James (Grenada) and Vanessa Clerveaux (Haiti) will also be in action.
