Cross Country Announces 2019 Schedule

Head coach Dan Waters unveiled the Crimson Tides’ schedule on Wednesday
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama men's and women's cross country teams will compete in four regular-season meets to prepare for post-season action during the upcoming 2019 campaign, head coach Dan Waters announced Wednesday.
The Crimson Tide opens its schedule with the Brooks Memphis Twilight in Memphis, Tenn. on Sat., August 31, before making the short trip to Montevallo, Ala., for the Falcon Classic on Sat. Sept. 7. The team will then return to action on Sat., Oct. 4, traveling to South Bend, Ind., for the Notre Dame Invitational.
The weekend of Oct. 19, sees the men's and women's squads split, with the men's group heading to Princeton, N.J., for the Princeton Invitational and the women heading back to Indiana for the Pre-National Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind.
The SEC Championships will take place Fri., November 1 in Lexington, Ky., to open postseason competition. The Tide will then head to Tallahassee, Fla., for the NCAA South Regionals on Fri., November 15, and will look to follow up with an appearance at NCAA Championships, slated for November 23.
The Pre-National Invitational hosted by Indiana State could be especially helpful for the women's team come postseason as the NCAA Championships will also be held at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.
Alabama is coming off a 2018 campaign that saw the men's team finish sixth at the NCAA South Regional while the women finished ninth.
