Alabama Men’s Tennis Concludes Play at ITA Southern Regionals

The Crimson Tide picked up three wins in consolations on Sunday
AUBURN, Ala. – The Alabama men's tennis team concluded play at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Southern Regional Championships on Sunday in Auburn, Ala.
Round-by-Round
- In the main draw of singles, senior Zhe Zhou dropped his match to No. 25 Tim Sandkaulen, while Roberto fell in his quarterfinal matchup to Dane Esses of Tulane in three sets.
- Senior Alexey Nesterov and Roberto lost in their main doubles draw match to Dollman/Durham of Auburn.
- In singles consolations, Nesterov picked up a win over Daniel Moreno of LSU, 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 (10-5), while junior Sam Fischer came out victorious in straight sets over Karlo Kajin of Louisiana, 6-4, 6-3. Freshman Marcelo Sepulveda Garza also earned a win after Thomas Wright of Auburn retired in the third set tiebreaker.
