Alabama Men’s Cross Country the No. 6 Team in the Nation Again This Week

Crimson Tide holds its ranking in USTFCCCA poll for the third week in a row
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – With the top seven unchanged this week, Alabama holds steady at No. 6 in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Men's Cross Country National Coaches' Poll, which was released Tuesday afternoon.
The Crimson Tide is again the top-ranked Southeastern Conference team in the poll. SEC rivals Arkansas (No. 13), and Ole Miss (No. 20) are again ranked this week. The Razorbacks moved up one spot while the Rebels jumped up 10 spots from a week ago.
Defending NCAA champion Northern Arizona is No. 1, followed by BYU, Portland, Stanford and Iowa State to round out the top five, while Alabama, Colorado, Syracuse, Wisconsin and Colorado State hold spots 6-10, respectively
The Crimson Tide men and women return to action on Friday, Sept. 28, at the Nuttycombe Invitational in Madison, Wis. The meet will be one of the deepest of the regular season with 18 men's and 15 women's teams currently ranked in the top 30 scheduled to participate.
The men's field at the Nuttycombe will include seven of the nation's top-10 teams – No. 1 Northern Arizona, No. 3 Portland, No. 5 Iowa State, No. 6 Alabama, No. 7 Colorado, No. 9 Wisconsin and No. 10 Colorado State.
