Men’s Track & Field Honored at Champions Plaza for 2018 SEC Indoor Title

The team will receive its championship rings at halftime of Saturday’s Alabama-Texas A&M football game
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama's 2018 SEC Indoor Track & Field championship team was honored at the Crimson Tide's "Celebration of Champions" ceremony at the Sarah Patterson Champions Plaza Friday afternoon.
"This means a lot for the kids," UA head coach Dan Waters said. "They came here and believed in us and decided they were going to put their faith and trust in our coaching and get an education at The University of Alabama. We have some of the best athletes in the country on this team and it's great to have them recognized because they deserve it."
The ceremony featured remarks from UA Director of Athletics Greg Byrne and Waters along with the unveiling of the Tide's 2018 title at the plaza.
The team will receive their championship rings during a halftime ceremony at Saturday's football game against Texas A&M.
