No. 1 Alabama Holds Six-Stroke Lead After 36 Holes of Steelwood Collegiate

Hodges, Hardee share clubhouse lead to pace the Crimson Tide
LOXLEY, Ala. – The No. 1-ranked Alabama men's golf team shot a 3-under par 573 (280-293) on Saturday and owns a six-stroke lead after 36 holes of play at the Steelwood Collegiate. The Crimson Tide was the only team in the 12-team field to finish the day under par.
Alabama was led by seniors Jonathan Hardee (69-71) and Lee Hodges (70-70), who share the clubhouse lead at 4-under par 140. The Tide duo is joined by Kentucky's Lukas Euler (70-70) atop the leaderboard entering Sunday's final round.
Junior Davis Riley, who is rated as the No. 1 golfer in the nation, is in a tie for 10th after two rounds at even par 144 (69-75) on the par 72, 7,096-yard Steelwood Country Club course. Senior Steven Setterstrom is in a tie for 26th overall with a 149 (72-77), while freshman Davis Shore rounds out the Tide golfers in 29th position after carding a 150 (72-78).
Alabama will carry a six-shot lead over second place Kennesaw State (579), while leading eighth-ranked Kentucky (584) by 11 strokes coming into the final 18 holes of play. Rice (585) is in fourth, while tournament host South Alabama (586) rounds out the top five teams.
The Tide will go for its third tournament win in four events this fall when it tees of Sunday's final round of play at 9:24 a.m. CT off hole No. 1. Live stats throughout the event can be found on Golfstat.com.
