University of Alabama sophomore Kamal Fuller will compete for a spot on the Jamaican Olympic team on Saturday evening in the long jump.
The three-time All-American will take to the runway at 5:15 p.m. CDT in Kingston's National Stadium. In addition to selecting the Olympic team, the competition will also help select the team that competes at the NACAC Under-23 Championships in Guanajuato, Mexico in early July that features athletes from North America, Central America and the Caribbean.
Fuller recently earned first team All-America honors at the NCAA Outdoor Championships with an eighth place finish and a jump of 25-2. Earlier in the season he finished fourth at the SEC Championships with a wind-aided personal best of 25-8.75.
