Tide Softball to Be Honored Prior to Alabama-Florida Football Game

The University of Alabama softball team will have its 2005 accomplishments honored one final time this weekend as the team will be presented prior to kickoff between Alabama and Florida.
The 2005 Crimson Tide captured its second SEC West division championship as well as its third SEC Tournament Championship, all en route to its third overall appearance in the Women’s College World Series and second appearance in three years.
Alabama returns senior All-American pitcher Stephanie VanBrakle as well as senior All-SEC third baseman Staci Ramsey and senior All-SEC Tournament shortstop Dominique Accetturo.
Also returning for the Tide are All-South Region sophomore Jordan Praytor and All-Freshman SEC performers Chrissy Owens and Dani Woods. Owens led the nation in saves last season with 11.
The team will be signing autographs on the quad on Saturday from 12:45 p.m. till 1:30.
