Faculty/Staff Football Ticket Policy

Faculty/Staff members may order up to four home game ticket packages. Priorities will be filled in seniority order based on the number of service years at the University within each priority category.

Category 1
Active full-time permanent faculty/staff members who are eligible for TIAA/CREF matching contributions, AND active full-time faculty/staff members with 15 or more service years who are ineligible for TIAA/CREF matching contributions. This group includes active staff and anyone who retired within this category.

Category 2
Active full-time permanent non-TIAA/CREF matching eligible employees with less than 15 years of service, and all regular part-time, temporary full-time, temporary part-time employees who are participating in State Teachers Retirement. This group includes active staff members who retired within this category. This group also includes ROTC faculty.

Category 3
The following affiliates of the University: Alabama Credit Union, Family Practice Residents, Geological Survey, House Directors, and Alabama Law Institute employees.

5,000 tickets will be allocated for use by UA faculty/staff. Each staff member (active or retired) will be allowed to order four season tickets. If there is an over subscription (total orders exceed 5,000), order will be reduced to two season tickets in the following progression. Reductions will continue until the faculty/staff group reaches 5,000.

  1. Category 3 will be reduced to two tickets
    If an oversubscription remains.
  2. Category 2 Retired will be reduced to two tickets
    If an oversubscription remains.
  3. Category 2 Active will be reduced to two tickets
    If an oversubscription remains.
  4. Category 1 Retired will be reduced to two tickets
    If an oversubscription remains.
  5. Category 1 Active will be reduced to two tickets
All reductions will be made based on seniority within each category. If necessary, refunds will be made by July 1st.

Faculty/Staff Season Football Ticket Allocation Procedure
Each Faculty/Staff applicant's years of service to the University will determine seat allocation and placement among the upper and lower bowls.

1. After the request deadline of May 19, all UA Faculty/Staff requests will be placed in years of service order from highest number of service years to lowest number of service years.
2. Seat allocations will begin in the lower bowl in service year order (highest to lowest) and continue until the lower bowl section is filled.
3. Once the lower bowl section is filled, remaining orders will be allocated in the upper level of the south endzone. These remaining orders will continue to be allocated based on years of service.


Group requests can still be made on the request form. However, group requests will be allocated by the lowest priority (least number of service years).
