TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama head women's cross country coach Randy Hasenbank led the Crimson Tide through the fourth week of practice and is getting the team ready for the home meet. The squad is still working on base work and hills.
"We are really working on being consistent," Hasenbank said. "It's nice to have a week from time to time with no interruptions especially with our schedule starting to pick up."
Alabama did not compete last weekend so they were able to train through the weekend in preparation for this weekend when they host the 20th Annual Crimson Classic. This will be the first collegiate 5k race for many runners on the young squad.
"It's exciting to run at home for our runners, and I'm excited too," Hasenbank said. "I think we have one of the best courses around and to have a dedicated course is really special for our program."
The Crimson Tide is hosting the 20th Annual Crimson Classic on Sept.20 at the Harry Pritchett Course. The women will toe the line at 9:15 a.m.
