Tuscaloosa, Ala. - Join Alabama volleyball and the Tuscaloosa City Schools for a day of volleyball and art, as Alabama and TCS have partnered to create Art Appreciation Day on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 1:30 p.m., when the Crimson Tide takes on No. 3 Florida at Foster Auditorium.
As part of the Art Appreciation Day, 13 Tuscaloosa schools will participate in the event, with each school creating a banner that will be displayed on the railings inside Foster Auditorium, and fans will vote during the intermission for the best crafted banner.
All fans attending the match that bring any new and unused art supplies (black Sharpie pens, colored markers, water colors and acrylic or temper paints are most desirable) will receive free admission to the event. All donations will help the Tuscaloosa City School children continue art in classrooms. Collection bins will be placed at all three entrances to Foster Auditorium.
In addition to Art Appreciation Day, it will be Kids Day with the first 100 fans 12 and younger receiving a free hot dog and drink. Admission will also be free with an Alabama versus Georgia State football ticket and the Alabama volleyball team will sign autographs after the match.
