TUSCALOOSA – The defending Southeastern Conference Western Division co-champion University of Alabama volleyball team will participate in four spring competitions beginning in March.

“Our spring schedule will be a test and challenge for us this year,” said UA head coach Judy Green. “During the spring season, we have the opportunity to see in a competitive setting how the things we’ve worked on in individual workouts are going to look. It is also a great time to experiment with a variety of lineups and different offensive and defensive schemes. I like the spring competitions because it allows the players a break from a regular practice format.”

The Crimson Tide, coming off a 21-9 finish in the fall, will open their spring season at home on Mar. 12 by hosting perennial national power Georgia Tech in the CAVE.

Alabama will then hit the road for the remainder of their competitions playing at Tennessee (Apr. 9), at North Carolina (Apr. 16) and at Ole Miss (Apr. 23). Bama will compete against both UNC and Kansas in the Apr. 16 event.
