The Alabama Women’s Track and Field team grabbed another spot in event finals at the NCAA Outdoor Championships being held on the Sacramento State campus this week.
Junior Beth Mallory, who already qualified for the finals of the discus on the meet’s first day, qualified for the finals of the hammer throw today. She goes into finals as the seventh seed, after posting a throw of 199 feet, two inches. The discus finals are Friday and the hammer finals are Saturday.
Junior Tahesia Harrigan took 16th in the preliminaries of the 200m dash with a time of 23.64, advancing to the semi-final round later in the evening where she finished 15th with a 23.69 and did not advance to the finals. She will run in the finals of the 100m dash on Friday.
