TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -
The women's tennis team hosts the 26th Roberta Alison Fall Classic this weekend, welcoming 16 teams from across the nation to Tuscaloosa. Matches are scheduled to run all day Friday and Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. CT, with the potential for play on Sunday depending on the weekend's weather.
Traveling to The Capstone for the Crimson Tide's signature event of the season is Clemson, Furman, Georgia State, Georgia Tech, LSU, Loyola Marymount, Michigan, Middle Tennessee State, Mississippi State, Northwestern, Samford, Tennessee, Tulane, UAB, UNC Greensboro and Vanderbilt.
The tournament will consist of 12 eight-person singles draws and six eight-team doubles draws. Match play begins on Friday with the first round of doubles followed by two rounds of singles. Saturday will feature two rounds of doubles and one round of singles.
