FLUSHING MEADOWS, N.Y. - Alexa Guarachi and Mary Anne Macfarlane were recognized on Saturday at the US Open as one of three doubles teams named ITA All-Stars in 2013. There was an awards luncheon held at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, which was followed by presentation of the awards in the President's Box at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

Guarachi and Macfarlane put together the most decorated season for a doubles team in Alabama history, which was capped off by a trip to the NCAA Doubles Championship semifinals. The All-Americans knocked off 13 nationally-ranked opponents, including the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Championship in Georgia's Kate Fuller and Silvia Garcia. Guarachi and Macfarlane compiled an overall record of 27-10 in 2013, going 15-7 in dual match play.
