TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -
Head women's tennis coach Jenny Mainz, as well as members of the men's tennis, soccer, men's and women's cross country and volleyball teams took part in the annual preseason media luncheon on Monday that allowed several representatives from newspapers, television stations and radio stations to get a glimpse into the 2012-13 seasons.
"Every year brings new challenges and dynamics," said Mainz, who is entering her 16th season at the helm. "We have a strong base back with the return of our No. 1 and No. 2 players in Mary Anne Macfarlane and Alexa Guarachi as well as Antonia Foehse, Yasmeen Ebada and Emily Zabor. We also have two newcomers in Maya Jansen and Natalia Maynetto, who will be looked upon for an immediate impact. We certainly have a lot of momentum from last season, but at the same time we have a lot of work to do. Everyone is excited."
Following a brief meet-and-greet session, reporters were able to sit and chat with each coach and student-athlete individually.
