Women's Tennis Returns to the Court Saturday Against Georgia State

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The 12th-ranked women's tennis team continues its home stand this weekend, hosting Georgia State on Saturday. The match is slated to begin at Noon CT and will be played indoors at the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility.

The Crimson Tide is coming off its first two dual matches of the season where it beat William & Mary and Oklahoma to start the season 2-0 and advance to the ITA National Team Indoor Championship. The Panthers, under the direction of former Tide standout Robin Stephenson, enter the match with a 1-0 record after beating Troy in Atlanta, 4-3, and boast the No. 8 singles player in the nation in Abigail Tere-Apisah.

Alabama is 6-0 all-time against Georgia State. The last meeting in the series came in 2010, which went in the Tide's favor, 5-2.
