TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –
The women’s tennis team collected five wins on the final day of play at the 26th Roberta Alison Fall Classic. Emily Zabor
went a combined 6-0 in the tournament to win both her respective singles and doubles draw finals.
In the morning’s doubles action, the Crimson Tide won all four matches it competed in as Danielle Spielmann and Natalia Maynetto won 8-2 and 8-3 in the back of their draw, while Carmen Blanco and Zabor picked up wins of 8-6 and 8-5 in their main draw to take the title. In singles, Zabor grinded out a 6-4, 7-5 victory over Michigan’s Sara Remynse to win her second final of the day.
Next up, Alabama takes part in its final tournament of the season, traveling to Sarasota, Fla., for the Dickie V Clay Court Classic.
