Mary Anne Daines Splits Matches at All-American Championships

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – Alabama’s Mary Anne Daines went 1-1 in the singles qualifying draw on Tuesday at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships. The Crimson Tide senior won her first match, 6-1, 6-1, against Texas Tech’s Samantha Adams before dropping a 6-4, 6-0, decision to Georgia’s Silvia Garcia in the second round.

Daines will now transition to doubles play, partnering with Erin Routliffe to compete in the main draw. Action begins on Thursday at the Riviera Tennis Club.
