Women's Tennis Dominates Final Day at Wildcat Winter Classic

EVANSTON, Ill. - The women's tennis team won nine of its 10 matches on Sunday against Iowa at the Wildcat Winter Classic, which is being played at the Combe Tennis Center on the campus of Northwestern University. Sophomore Maya Jansen earned singles championship honors at the tournament, winning all three of her matches. In all, the Crimson Tide won 22 matches throughout the three-day tournament.

In singles, five of Alabama's players won matches against their respective Hawkeye opponents with each victory coming in straight sets. The Tide dominated doubles, coming away with a 6-2 win or better in all four matches.

Next up, Alabama begins its dual match season on Saturday, Jan. 25, when it hosts William & Mary in its first match of ITA Kick-Off Weekend. First serve is slated for 10 a.m. CT at the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility.
