The University of Alabama softball team will make appearances this weekend at the University Mall and the McFarland Mall in an effort to gather toys for the Toys for Tots program.
The team will split up and appear at each mall between 1-2 p.m. where they will sign autographs and meet and greet fans. Both sites will be drop-off points for anyone wishing to donate a toy (unwrapped) for Toys for Tots.
“The team is working hard on service projects this fall and Toys for Tots is a great cause, especially this time of year,” said head coach Patrick Murphy. “We feel like the Tuscaloosa community has supported us so much over the years and this is an opportunity for us to give back.”
The Tide will open its 2006 season February 10-12 when the team hosts the Bama Bash! at the UA Softball Complex.
