Softball Announces the Signing of Keima Davis

TUSCALOOSA, Ala.- Alabama head coach Patrick Murphy announced the signing of Keima Davis to a National Letter of Intent. Davis will join the Tide from Deerfield Beach, Fla. where she currently plays at American Heritage Boca/Delray School. "Keima is the latest in a long line of tremendous student-athletes from the state of Florida who decided to continue their softball careers at Alabama," coach Murphy said. "She has the potential to be a five-tool softball player who already possesses great power and speed. Keima comes to us from the same summer team as Kelley Montalvo." Davis played for American Heritage where she garnered MVP honors in the 2006-07. In her sophomore campaign, Davis garnered Palm Beach Post All-Area second team honors. The 5-9 infielder/outfielder batted .563 with four home runs. She currently plays for the Davie Power ASA summer team. Davis also lettered in basketball where she was named the American Heritage Defensive Player of the Year. She also belongs to the Spanish Honor Society and the Scientific Research Club. Davis is related to former Penn State and current Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Bobby Engram.
