TUSCALOOSA, Ala.- The University of Alabama will celebrate its first ever softball national championship Friday, Sept. 21, at Rhoads Stadium. The celebration will begin at 8 p.m. CT, with gates opening at 7:30 p.m., and admission is free.
In addition to celebrating with the Crimson Tide's exciting Women's College World Series victory last June, there will be 1,000 "Finished It" bracelets and 3,000 souvenir national championship posters distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. The team will also sign autographs for 30 minutes following the program.
The 2012 softball team will also be honored at halftime of the Florida Atlantic football game, when they will receive their national championship rings. The Tide will receive their SEC championship rings at the event on Friday night.
Parking for Friday night's event will be available at the upper rec center lot, the softball lot and the tennis lot. The Alabama soccer team will also be in action Friday night, facing Georgia starting at 7 p.m., at the Alabama Soccer Stadium.
