TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Top seeded Alabama (49-7) beat No. 4 Georgia (41-15) by a score of 1-0 in Friday's second semifinal game at the 2012 Southeastern Conference Championships being held in Rhoads Stadium this weekend. The Crimson Tide will face No. 3 Florida at 12 p.m. CDT in the championship game, which will be televised by ESPN2.

In a game that came down to pitching and over-the-top defensive efforts by both teams, the offensive fireworks came from Alabama junior Courtney Conley who drilled a homerun shot over the left field fence in the bottom of the third inning to provide the difference in the game.

Sophomore pitcher Jackie Traina picked up the win for the Tide, pushing her record to 33-2, while senior Erin Arevalo took the loss for the Bulldogs, falling to 23-7.
