TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Florida Gators beat the LSU Tigers 1-0, to close out game one of the 2012 SEC Softball Tournament.

Florida scored the lone run of the game in the bottom of the fifth inning when freshman Brianna Little, pinch running for freshman designated player Bailey Castro, crossed the plate on a single by freshman third baseman Sami Fagan. Lauren Haeger picked up the win for the Gators, pushing her record to 14-4, while senior Brittany Mack took the loss for the Tigers, falling to 14-11.

Florida returns to action Friday at 2 p.m. CDT against the winner of Thursday's Tennessee-Auburn game.
