TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama head softball coach Patrick Murphy announced that the clinics for January 14, 2012, are sold out. The clinics are the first of the new-year and a chance to get instruction from the top coaches and players in the nation before the season begins.
Alabama will feature a hitting clinic, infield/outfield clinics and a catching clinic. Joining Murphy at the clinics will be pitching coach and former Alabama All-American Stephanie VanBrakle, associate head coach Aly Habetz and volunteer assistant coach Adam Arbour. All-American Whitney Larsen and members of the team will also be featured.
The Alabama Softball Coaches Clinic is still open for registration. The event will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4, at Rhoads Stadium.
The Crimson Tide will open its season at the Mardi Gras Invitational in Mobile, Ala. The Tide will play four games with its first of the season scheduled for Feb. 10, against Memphis.
The first home opener for the Tide will be at the Easton Bama Bash, presented by Drash. Alabama will host East Carolina and SIU-E on the weekend of Feb. 24-26.
