TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama Crimson Tide beat the Western Kentucky Lady Toppers 13-1 in the championship game of the 2013 NCAA Softball Tuscaloosa Regional at Rhoads Stadium to advance to next week's NCAA Super Regional.

After opening the game with one run in the first inning, Alabama piled on six more in the top of the second followed by two runs in the fourth and four in the fifth to invoke the run rule and end the game after five innings. Junior Jackie Traina picked up the win for Alabama, pushing her record to 19-6 on the season, while senior Mallorie Sulaski took the loss for Western Kentucky, falling to 13-9.

Alabama will face the winner of the Knoxville Regional in Super Regional action next week. The dates and times are to be determined after all 16 regionals are completed. The winner of the Super Regional will advance to the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City, Okla.
