Alabama Head Coach Patrick Murphy:
"The key was us leaving 11 runners on base. Each team had seven hits going into the seventh inning and there was only one error. The key for them was key two-out hits and we didn’t have that. McNeese is a very sound team, we knew that going in. They put the ball into play when they needed too. They had one for a double and one for a single up the middle with two outs. They really capitalized when they had people on. They only left three on base."

Senior Infielder Kaila Hunt:
"We couldn’t get the hit when we needed it. We left 11 people on base and they only left three. They took advantage of their opportunities. We had about the same number of hits and we just didn’t get the hit when we had runners in scoring position and we needed them. [Allred] was throwing it on the outside corner and just weren’t hitting them. We were just not making solid contact, hitting the bottom half of the ball. We made adjustments, but it was just too late."

Sophomore Infielder Leona Lafaele:
On being tagged out at third for the second out in the bottom of the seventh:
"A hit is a hit, but I could have given my team a chance. I was trying to be too aggressive when I shouldn’t have been. I knew it was the seventh inning. I should have been less aggressive and smarter. The home run didn’t matter, what mattered was using it and stringing hits together."
