HIGH SCHOOL Came to Tuscaloosa from Naples, Fla., where she played at Naples High School under coach Robert Iamurri ... team won 4A state championship in 2008 ... first team all-state all four years ... named 2008 Gatorade Florida Player of the Year ... 4A Pitcher of the Year in 2008 and 2009 ... named a 2008 and 2010 Under Armour All-American ... was on the 2009 first-team ESPN All-American team ... part of the NFCA Louisville Slugger team in 2009 and 2010 ... selected 2010 first-team All-American ... posted an 85-8 record and a 0.23 ERA along with 1089 strikeouts during her prep career ... played club softball for Team North Florida under coach Coy Adkins and Kevin Fagan.
PERSONAL Jackie is the daughter of Mark Traina and Lana Turner ... has played with teammate Ryan Iamurri since the age of six ... lettered all four years in high school on the golf team ... competed in the 2003 Little League World Series where her team took second under head coach Robert Iamurri ... won the 2006 Junior League World Series where she pitched a one-hit shutout and hit two home runs ... was bit by a shark that required 23 stitches but pitched with the injury in Oklahoma City nationals in 2008.
