Kendall Khanna Named Third Team Academic All-American

Nov. 26, 2013

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Senior defender Kendall Khanna has been named to the 2013 Capitol One/CoSIDA Academic All-America Third Team, the organization announced Tuesday.

Khanna, who was tabbed as a first-team academic all-district honoree last month, becomes the fourth player in program history, and the first since 2007, to earn Academic All-American accolades.

A native of Littleton, Colo., Khanna maintains a 4.0 grade point average as a public relations major. She is a three-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll and was named to the President's List in four semesters and to the Dean's List two semesters.

On the pitch, Khanna was a steady presence for the Tide throughout the season. She finished the 2013 campaign with two goals, two assists and six points, despite playing mainly as a defender throughout the year. She saw action in all 18 games, making nine starts, and finished the season ranked fifth on the squad in goals and points.
