TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - A number of members of the Alabama soccer team are keeping in shape by playing for various clubs over the summer. will periodically check in on these players and their accomplishments. This is the first addition.

-Kara Fasano - Helped her GSA 93 Phoenix Red team win the U18 Georgia State Championship last weekend in Columbus, Ga.

-Lauren Davis - Posted a 3-0 shutout to win the U18 Louisiana State Championship with her Mandeville Lakers team.

-Kara and Lauren will be joined by teammates Molly Atherton, who is guest playing with GSA 92 Phoenix Red, and Laura Lee Smith (BUSA U18 ECNL) in Murfreesboro, Tenn., June 16-22, as they all compete at the Region III Regional Championships.

-KK & Meghan Duffy - Playing for the Atlanta Silverback in the W-League is off to a 2-1 start and heads to Virginia this weekend for three games against the Virginia Beach Piranhas, Northern Virginia Majestics and the Fredericksburg Impact.

-Justine Bernier - Starting goalkeeper for the Hamilton FC Rage (Canada) in the W-League will lace it up in her next match on Wednesday, June 15, at Rochester.

-Ariel Armijo - Doing double duty for the Real Colorado Super 20 team and the Real Colorado National U19 team. Armijo helped the Super 20 team get off to a 1-1-1 start, including a 4-0 victory over the Boulder County Force in their last match.

Her U19 squad will shoot for a Colorado State Championship this Saturday in the finals against the Colorado Storm. The team has already received a wild card berth to the Region IV Regional's in Boise, Idaho, June 20-26.
