April 10, 2008
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama women's soccer team will play three friendlies and host a clinic in Orange Beach this weekend, facing West Alabama and Northwestern State on Saturday and taking on South Alabama on Sunday at the Orange Beach Soccer Complex. Following the Saturday matches, the team will conduct a community clinic beginning at 2 p.m. "We are excited about the opportunity to play some competitive games in Orange Beach this spring," Bramble said. "We have heard nothing but great things about the facility there and the many Crimson Tide supporters who live in the area. We are looking forward to spending time with the people in the community this weekend and learning the lay of the land with the greater plan of returning in the fall for the SEC Tournament." Alabama and West Florida clash at 10 a.m. Saturday before the Tide takes on Northwestern State at 12:30 p.m. followed by the community clinic led by UA head coach Todd Bramble, assistants Tatum Clowney and Matt Hawkey, and the Alabama team. On Sunday, Alabama and South Alabama clash at 1 p.m. Admission to the games and the clinic is free. -UA-
