TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - This week Alabama soccer will feature each of its five newcomers. The first is Sophie Campise from Dallas, Texas. Campise comes to the Capstone from the University of Texas, where she played two seasons for the Longhorns.

Campise started 35 matches for Texas, finding time at the midfield and on the backline. Over the course of her two seasons in Austin, Campise recorded four points on one goal and two assists. She helped guide the Longhorns to an NCAA tournament appearance in 2010.

As a sophomore in 2010, the Dallas native started all 20 matches and handed out two assists. As a freshman in 2009, Campise was named to the Big 12 All-Newcomer team and was an all-tournament selection at the Big 12 Soccer Championship.

Campise prepped at Ursuline Academy where she was a four-year starter. She was also a member of the Region III ODP team.
