TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama rowing team had seven members of the 2012-13 squad earn the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association's Scholar Athlete Award, the organization announced.

Ashley Allison (Aerospace Engineering), Tabitha Coleman (Biology/History), Alyssa Drevenak (Exercise Science) Melissa Etter (advertising), Caitlin O'Neil (Business), Logan O'Neil and Canella Tinker (Exercise Science) garnered the accolades for the Crimson Tide.

Coleman is a three-time recipient while Tinker nabs the honor for the second straight year. To receive the award a student-athlete must be in their second season of eligibility or above, competed in 75 percent of the team's events and maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher over the course of her collegiate career.

Off the water this season the Crimson Tide has garnered 34 Conference USA academic honors, including 28 on the Commissioner's Honor Roll and six earning the C-USA Academic Medal. Coleman has been named a SEC Brad Davis Award nominee and to the C-USA Rowing All-Academic Team.
